Through 40 years of journaling I found a love for poem writing.
Check it out, let me know if you relate to my scribble.

"Son, you'll be married some day."
Didn't see it coming, I was going along with my day to day 12 year old routine, then you get blindsided. Too young to know that this father-son conversation would set me on a quick path to adulthood. I have said many times, I have no regrets regarding my childhood, I experienced much love growing up. My glass has always been 1/2 full, I never looked at it as 1/2 empty.

An Original Thought
I have admired a man with an original thought. A free thinker. I always thought of myself as a free thinker. Over the last couple years these poems come to me without effort, I was prompted last night as I laid my head on my pillow to write this poem but half way through the Holy Spirit entered, you know when this happens and He finished a poem that perhaps could have gone in many directions but He wanted this poem.
Tim,
These poems are amazing! Thanks for sharing them. My favorite is "What's a Barber". What insight to your world. The relationship barbers have with their clients is like no other. You meet people exactly where they're at everytime, in 60 minute increments. THAT is a gift that requires a great deal of mental energy and it's always way more than your skills as a barber! You're a confidant, therapist, encourager, care-giver, comedian,story-teller and friend! Keep writing!
